In-House Dynamometer 

Here at Wright Racing we have taken the engine dyno game to a whole new level. Using state of the art programming, air movement procedures and technical analysis we can replicate the race track in the workshop.

We can cater for anyone who wishes to see how good their engines, exhausts, carburettors and air boxes are, with very good benchmark equipment of our own to compare against. We can also simulate a hot or cold day using our temperature controlled room, even if it's freezing cold outside, we can guarantee a set temperature, thus giving consistent read outs all year round. We aim to have the best automatic controlled dyno in the UK, so stand back and let the Dyno's fully automated program run your engine.

​We can use our dyno to run-in engines after fische or rebuild. We use this instead of on track because we can control the load and throttle at each rev range, also we can guarantee the engine will be ready to hit the track.

Unlike other dyno's, we have expanded on the range of sensors we monitor to perform consistent tests without a variable. Using different types of temperature, lambda and pressure sensors we can monitor each and every aspect of the engine. Using an air pressure sensor inside the airbox provides information for flow rates entering the engine. Using lambda, we can see if all the fuel/air is burnt and using a in-cylinder piezoelectric spark plug sensor we can monitor the pressure on combustion, and finally we measure the temperature and weight of the fuel to precisely know the fuel rate of the engine, all this puts us one step ahead of the competition.

Track Simulation

Using your MyChron 5 or Alfano 6 data we can set the dyno to run a program to each track you will be racing at. If you struggle with an engine or exhaust off a corner for example, we can run the dyno at that corner to see whats wrong. To use this feature, simply bring your engine and equipment over, along with your MyChron or Alfano head unit and we can do the rest.

Dyno Rental

Along with using our dyno for our own engine building, we can also offer anyone to arrive and compare their kit with others, ours and new. We have two British Championship teams who use our dyno fortnightly to harvest the best out of their kit, and to eliminate guess work at the track.
